In a time when everything happens on the Web, when most of the information we look for and the transactions we carry out are browser-based, privacy and data protection has become a particularly valuable asset. TrackOFF is a tool designed to protect your computer from prying eyes, from programs trying to steal your valuable and sensitive data, to help you browse the Web anonymously, and to keep your PC fingerprints away from uninvited guests.
The program’s interface is not only attractive but also easy to navigate. Its apparent simplicity hides a complex set of algorithms that on one hand will detect any attempt to collect your most sensitive information (family information, financial data, Internet history, online purchases, usernames, and passwords, etc.) and, on the other, will lock out your PC against any new attempts. To do so, TrackOFF comes with a number of utilities that are extremely simple to set up.
The first step is to enable your browsing privacy protection. The Overview tab, on the left-hand side menu, will show all the browsers you have installed on your system, and will ask you to activate, one by one, the protective shield that the program will use to protect you when using them. In the meantime, you can clear your history also from this tab and choose whether to clean all possible traces or a selected set of them (website history, cookies, temporary files, cache, etc.).
Once your browsers are protected and clean, you can rely on them for all your future Internet activities. Alternatively, searches can be securely performed using the program’s Private Search. Using the DuckDuckGo, this alternative search engine will leave no trace of whatever it is that you are interested in on the Web. This will prevent other search engines from taking note of your preferences and from bombarding you with unwanted ads and commercials wherever you go. Your private queries are kept private. For extra protection when the task requires it (such as online banking, online tax services, etc.) TrackOFF is equipped with algorithms that guarantee anonymous encrypted browsing. To top it all off, you can tell the program to hide your location by masking your IP address via VPN encrypted browsing.
The Tracking Activity tab is where you need to go to check all the tracking attempts that TrackOFF has detected. Every time the program’s alarms go off, you’ll be notified with a small pop-up window in the notification area of your taskbar, and all those notifications will be logged in this section of the program. Here you can see when and, most importantly, who (which website) has tried to watch you online. Here you may also want to check every now and then the times the program has changed your system’s fingerprints to protect you from prying eyes.
All in all, TrackOFF is a simple yet highly efficient application devoted to protecting your computer from any unwanted visitor attempting to steal your most valuable information. It will not only protect your browsers and your browsing experience but will also alert to stop any privacy attack trying to compromise your security.
